Care and Maintenance in Treadmill Running Belts

Care and Maintenance

Before any maintenance, always ensure the treadmill power is off and unplugged form the electrical outlet. Make sure all bolts and nuts are tightened before use. Do not modify the equipment. If it has any defective components, please contact the retailer or service agent and keep the equipment out of use until it is repaired. Use a warm, damp cloth to keep the product clean. Do not splash water or fluid on or near the equipment. No wet cleaning of electrical components.

Running belt moving to one side

After prolong use of running, the belt may stretch out and become loose. If the running belt is shifting to the left, turn on the Master Power Switch and let the running belt run at a speed of 2-3km/h. Using the hex key, turn the left rear roller adjustment bolt 1/8 to 1/4 turn in a clockwise direction.

Running belt is slipping

If the running belt is slipping during use, turn off and unplug the treadmill. Using the hex key, turn both the left and right rear roller adjustment bolts 1/4 turn in a clockwise direction for the same
distance.

Ensure inspection of the product is done regularly – at least once a week is recommended. The safety level of this equipment can be maintained only if it is regularly examined for damage and wear. This includes any nuts, bolts, moving parts, bushes, chains, wheels, bearing & connection points etc. Take care with components that are susceptible to damage. (Computer, safety key, running belt and covers.) Defective parts should be replaced and the
equipment should not be used until repaired by an authorised service agent or similarly qualified person. Treadmill deck should be lubricated with silicone spray every 20-30 hours of use or at least every month to maintain peak operation.

The belt should start to correct itself by moving back toward the centre. Repeat the above procedure until the running belt is centred. If the running belt is shifting to the right, turn on the Master Power Switch and let the running belt run at a speed of 2-3km/h. Using the hex key, turn the right rear roller adjustment bolt 1/8 to 1/4 turn in the clockwise direction. The belt should start to correct itself by moving back toward the centre. Repeat the above procedure until the running belt is centred.

Turn on the Master Power Switch and let the running belt run at a speed of 2-3km/h. Now walk on the running belt to determine if it is still slipping. Repeat the above procedure until the running belt is not slipping.
